BP has failed yet again at capping the gushing oil well. While the latest attempt at stopping the oil flow using a saw failed miserably today BP has continued to push forward. With many Gulf States facing clean ups in the hundreds of thousands of dollars BP has announced that they will, in a feeble attempt, support the U.S. government's decision to proceed with the construction of six sections of the Louisiana barrier islands proposal. The company has stated that it will fund the estimated $360 million project. With the problem only getting worse this seems to be BP's version of a band aid.

If it smokes report it! According to an article on CBC News online New York City police disarmed a potentially powerful bomb in a sport utility vehicle parked in Times Square. It would seem that an observant T-shirt vendor reported smoke coming from a Nissan Pathfinder on 45th Street around 6:30 p.m. ET. The vehicle had its engine running and hazard lights flashing. If an ash-spewing volcano was not enough to hinder your travels then I am sure this will; The Canadian Press has reported that Ottawa has issued a travel advisory warning of an imminent terrorist attack in India's capital New Delhi. The article goes on to quote a post made on the Foreign Affairs' website saying that "Credible and specific reporting indicates that a terrorist attack could be carried out in the following days or weeks." Here is a video, courtesy of WikiLeaks, showing us what transpires when governments and war mongers in general put weapons of destruction in the hands of mindless, uneducated, blood thirsty individuals. I admit, I have seen worse, but this one touches home. I cannot, for the life of me, understand how one country can so openly invade another one based on lies and misconceptions in this day and age openly kill its citizens for what seems to be mere sport.
If the United States of America was so concerened with terrorism and Islamic fundamentalists they should have first began their campaign of eradication in Iran and then turned their attention to Egypt. Sadly, however, Iran will go untouched in my lifetime and the barbaric regime in Egypt (which so openly kills Copts and Christians) will continue to do business with the US.
